I practiced as an architectural designer for 25 years. While living in Arizona I studied Metalsmithing at the Mesa Art Center. I am now a full time artistic jeweler. My feeling, philosophy, in regards to my jewelry is to keep the designs as close to it's natural state in texture, look and feel as possible. To be as connected to the qualities of the earth as is possible. To the unfinished cast metal pieces that reflect their natural essence to the pounded and forged links and surfaces that reflect the earthly pattern quality that can be seen in the bark of trees or the face of rocks or even the patterns in the earth itself. I pound my metals against an old anvil wanting it to look worn and caricaturized as the earth itself. It touches my soul, my spirit. It connects me to the feeling of the earth which is where I find my connection.
